Can You Really Make Money From Home Online? Legally?

If you're like me, most of you have also heard the rumors of people making hundreds, thousands and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars a month from home. And like me, you've wondered, how are all these geeky people sitting around in their underwear all day earning the big bux, while everyone else is slaving away at a job they hate, in clothes they would rather not be wearing.

I'm not going to make this really complicated. It isn't in theory. How do people actually get paid to surf? Who's paying them? Is it legal?
I will explain by way of an example, in the old days, marketing companies used to have to rent out or own real-estate and solicit consumers to come in and test out a bunch of products and give feedback, listen to new names for products, rank them, etc. This was Market Research BEFORE the internet. Now they can do all of that online at a huge cost-savings and with a much larger and geographically flexible audience. And they pay for it!

So that answers two questions, yes it is legal, and the same companies who put products on the shelves in the stores and spend billions on advertising every year are (via 3rd parties) paying you to surf. They also pay to survey, and have multitudes of other ways to get advertising dollars into your pocket.
How much money can you make doing it? How much time does it take? Most people are spending 5-30 minutes a day. And they earn somewhere between $25 and $250 dollars a month on average. The superstars are earning thousands.
